Where Has It Gone??

LLANELLI
SIX WEEKS?? Where has the time gone...I feel as though I just arrived in Wales yesterday! But I only have 6 weeks left here! God has used this time of training to change and prepare me for the next part of my journey with Him . I have been so blessed by being here and getting to see and be a part of what God is doing in UK. I have done a variety of things over the last few months!

January
  Prayer Month
Here in the UK, WH designates January as prayer month. For the entire month we spend 9:30am to 1pm  praying together for various things. The last week in January people travel to different parts of the UK to pray as well.
February
We had a few different classes which included Spiritual Formation, Deliverance Ministry,Hermeneutics, and I also did a weekend training course on a tool that was developed to share the gospel with Muslims.
March
Mobile March
Over the month of March we had 4 conferences in 4 different cities. So during the week we had classes which included What is Church, Contrasting Worldviews, and Language and Linguistics for the last two weeks and then on the weekends we were on the road. The language and linguistics course was a lot of work but very helpful! We looked at the most effective ways to learn a language which we can use when we are on field.
April
This first week we have off, so we have an opportunity to rest . Next week we are headed to Scotland. We will have teaching about Onfield Projects and will also be involved in community outreaches with a local church. Then coming back from Scotland we will have a few classes to finish out the month of April. There will be Anthropological Research tools, Social Justice, and Church planting.
May
I will be concluding my time of training here in Wales and preparing for my time in Morocco this summer.

Since starting my time here in Wales I have been faced with many different challenges. God has uses various circumstances to really push me out of my comfort zone. I have learned even more to rely on Him for my strength! I am excited to see what He has for me as I step into the next part of my Journey with Him!!

I have a few things I would appreciate you praying for:
   1) Finances: I need more people who can commit to giving any amount on a regular basis. Before I am allowed to go on field I am required to have a certain amount coming in each month. I am currently at just over 35% percent.  God has been so faithful in providing for me. He has blessed me with a few people who have been faithful in supporting me on a regular basis. Here is a layout of my budget per month:
Rent $420
Food $160
Phone $25
Language Learning $50
Transportation $35
Emergency $140

Total $830
Currently Coming In--$310

Still need--$520
   2) Family: I recently lost my grandpa. I would appreciate your prayers for my family and I.

A Happy and Exciting New Year!

I realize it has been a while since I last sent out an update. I want to start by telling everyone how much I appreciate you! For all the people who have prayed, given to my financially, encouraged me, and have been willing to be used by God to help get me where I am today, I am so thankful for you and I know that you will be blessed in return!

The last few weeks I have been off for Christmas break. I had a wonderful time of catching up on sleep, spending time with people, and being refreshed by God. In the last year so much has happened and changed. Last January I knew it was God’s will for me to come here to Wales to do the training, but I had no idea how it was going to happen. Of course God had it all planned out! He gave me a revelation of His peace. We can be at peace no matter what is going on in life. He has proved His faithfulness once again! He has provided for me in every way, He has taken care of my family, and He is changing me and shaping  me into the woman He wants me to be.

This year God has challenged me to go deeper with Him in my prayer life. The verse for me this year is Colossians 4:2 which says, “Devote yourselves to prayer, keeping alert in it with an attitude of thanksgiving.”  We have all heard and mostly likely used the word devote or devoted but I looked it up to see what the actual definition is. Devote--To give or apply(one’s time, attention, or self) entirely to a particular activity, pursuit, cause, or person. This gives a clear picture of exactly what that verse is saying. I must give my full attention and my time. I want to do that! Prayer is so vital to fulfilling what God has called you to do and to see things change!

So just as I have been challenged to step up in my prayer walk with God I am challenging you if you have not already ask God what area He would like you to work on this year!

I am glad to see January here! The last 4 months has just flown by and I am excited to see what God has in store for the upcoming 5 months. From now till May I will continue to be based in Llanelli, Wales. I wanted to share with everyone what my budget looks like for the next few months.

Per Month:
Rent- $235
Food- $185
Phone- $15
Misc- $50

I appreciate everyone’s continued prayers for:
1. The training
2. What God is doing in me and through me
3. For finances( I am still in need of people who can partner with me on a monthly basis)
4. For my family
5. For some upcoming decisions that I will be making concerning what I will be doing this summer and in the fall

I pray God’s blessings for everyone in this new year!! Please know that I love and appreciate each one of you!! God Bless!

Philippians 1:6 --Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.
